Lucy Blane offers music tuition across a variety of settings, including classroom teaching, workshops, group sessions, and one-to-one. Her work ranges from one-off sessions to longer-term learning as part of ongoing creative and educational projects.
As a one-to-one tutor, Lucy supports students in developing their instrumental skills and/or theoretical understanding with an approach grounded in musicality, curiosity, and confidence-building. Lessons are shaped around each student’s individual needs, interests, and learning style, encouraging creativity as well as technical development.
Lucy has experience working with learners in diverse educational contexts, including those who face barriers to education. She is known for her patient, supportive, and flexible teaching style, creating an encouraging environment in which students can explore and grow. She offers teaching in fiddle/violin, piano, flute, and music theory.
